It’s about time bowel continence had a face lift

Anisys GO makes anorectal physiology assessment and biofeedback therapy more accessible than ever.

Comprehensive and portable.

Anisys GO is a comprehensive, portable system for the assessment of anorectal function and sensation, with biofeedback therapy functionality.

Intuitive protocols align to international consensus guidance.

A solution driven by patient need

A conservative estimate is that there are around 6.5 million people in the UK today with some form of bowel problem; that’s 1 in 10 of us.*

Poor continence hugely impacts on an individual’s health and quality of life and is often under-reported and untreated.

Anisys GO addresses NHS calls for better diagnosis of more patients, more conservative treatment earlier and preventative interventions.

Too many people suffer in silence, but why?

Many patients only present to clinicians when symptoms are life-limiting. Clinical consensus suggests that the majority of causes of incontinence and constipation can be reversed and better managed.

UK services are acknowledged as inconsistent, overburdened and under-performing – by professional bodies. NICE CG 49, NHS and international guidelines advocate early, community nurse specialist led intervention and treatment.

NICE Clinical Guidance 49, 2007

“250 - 500,000 adults experience regular faecal incontinence that affects their quality of life”

Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP)report 2010)

“…to achieve the best clinical outcomes, continence services have to be integrated across primary and secondary care and care home settings.”

Patients endure difficult experiences

Comprehensive ano-rectal physiology assessment and treatment can be:

  • Inaccessible

  • undignified

  • expensive

Typical difficult travel expectations:

  • Cumbrian adults travel to Salford Royal (118 miles)

  • Manchester children to Alder Hey (25 miles)

We’re changing that…

…With accessible care for all patients

Portability enables quality care:.

  • Accelerated assessment

  • Accelerated treatment

  • Closer to patients

…high resolution data reporting

Anisys GO’s intuitive user interface enables healthcare professionals to capture and report outputs consistent with international consensus and professional guidance.

The Anisys GO anorectal assessment and biofeedback system is fully compliant to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1

…with biofeedback that improves patient engagement

Patient-facing protocols focus on improving neuro-muscular coordination for better engagement and compliance in conservative management of symptoms.

Biofeedback protocols provide patients with visual and audible representation of anorectal function, to improve outcomes related to: pelvic floor dyssynergia, faecal incontinence and constipation.

In numerous studies and consensus papers, visual led biofeedback has been found superior to other treatments.

And with the help of a few others…

“my patients would benefit from accelerated, better-connected diagnosis and treatment of anorectal disorders

…tools to help front-line clinicians deliver more accessible assessment and care, closer to patients’ homes could make a real difference”
